UI/UX Design

UI/UX design for websites and apps

Your users and their needs

Understand what gets in the way before designing what comes next.

Websites and apps that are easier to use.

An abandoned form, information that is hard to find, a task that takes too many steps: UI/UX design starts with situations like these. We help you understand the difficulties, then design journeys and interfaces around the people who use them.

Create a new product

Define the priority journeys and test a prototype before committing to full development.

A screen can seem obvious to the team that designed it and still confuse a new user. Early testing helps uncover these misunderstandings while they are still straightforward to address.

Improve a website or app

Identify where users struggle and choose the improvements that will help them most.

People may abandon a task because of an unclear label, an unnecessary field or information in the wrong place. Identifying the cause helps focus effort on the changes that matter.

Simplify a business tool

Organise screens around your team’s tasks, roles and information needs.

A business tool also needs to handle less frequent situations: correcting an entry, finding a record or resuming an interrupted task. These situations are part of the journey to design.

What we can deliver

From design decisions to screens ready for development.

01

UX research and assessment

We bring together your goals, user feedback and available data to identify difficulties. The approach depends on the project: interviews, observation, journey analysis or a review of the existing interface.

  • Summary of user needs and difficulties
  • Prioritised recommendations
Test the ideas
02

Journeys and prototypes

We organise information and key steps, then build an interactive prototype. This makes it easier to discuss real situations and, when included in the scope, test journeys with users before development.

  • Information architecture and user journeys
  • Wireframes and interactive prototype
Prepare for implementation
03

Interfaces and components

We design screens and their different states around your visual identity, mobile use and accessibility needs. Components and guidance for developers help the team put the designs into practice.

These materials prepare for website or mobile app development.

  • Designs for the agreed screens
  • Reusable components and interaction guidance
How the work progresses

A clear scope and agreed review points.

We define the scope with you: the users involved, the journeys to address, the deliverables and the technical constraints. We can focus on a specific stage or support the project from assessment through implementation.

1. Define the scope

Choose the problems to solve, the people to consult and the deliverables.

The number of screens alone does not determine the work involved: user roles, business rules and exceptional cases also affect the scope. Clarifying them early helps set a realistic budget and timeline.

2. Design and review

Present journeys and screens, gather feedback and refine the designs before approval.

A polished design does not tell us whether the journey works. During the agreed tests, we look at what users can complete, where they hesitate and what they do not understand.

3. Prepare for development

Hand over the files and explain interactions to your team, or continue with EWM’s developers.

Loading, errors, confirmation and empty results are all interface states. Defining them helps developers handle real situations without having to guess the intended behaviour.

Your questions about UI/UX design

What is the difference between UX and UI?

UX covers the experience of using a product: knowing where to go, finding information and completing a task. UI covers the interface people interact with: screens, buttons, typography and visual states. Both work together to make a website or app understandable and practical.

Can we improve the UX without rebuilding the whole website?

Yes. An assessment may identify targeted improvements to navigation, a form or an important journey. We evaluate what can change within the current system and which changes would require more development.

If the goal is to turn more visits into enquiries or sales, this work can support conversion rate optimisation.

Which files and deliverables will we receive?

Depending on the agreed scope, the work may include research findings, user journeys, wireframes, an interactive prototype and interface designs. We specify the deliverables, formats and level of documentation before work begins.

Can you work with our developers?

Yes. We can handle the design and provide your team with screens, components and interaction guidance. We agree on technical constraints and review points together to prepare for implementation.

How are the budget and timeline defined?

They depend on the number of journeys and screens, the research needed, planned testing, and whether a visual identity or design system already exists. We define the scope and review stages before setting the budget and timeline.
